You might be wondering…
When should a company choose to use outside services?
There is no doubt that your company already possesses the skills and expertise it needs to be successful…otherwise you wouldn’t be here. But, businesses often struggle to break their own patterns of behaviour. Stating a desire to change is an important first step. Actually making a shift often requires someone from the outside who can bring tools supported by research, experiences from other organsiations, and enthusiasm to try new things.
What is the difference between coaching and consulting?
There are many opinions on that. Here is mine: It’s a continuum that asks the question ‘where is the experise in this relationship?’ At the coaching end of the continuum, the client is the expert and the coach finds and strengthens that expertise. At the consulting end, the consultant is the expert and shares that expertise with the client. Handspring operates somewhere near the midpoint. We bring expertise and best practise learned from other client assignments and research, but we also look to draw from and develop the strengths that already exist within your organisation.
